The aim of our retreats is to provide you with a beautiful location where you will be pampered, nourished and nurtured. You will learn and implement the tools necessary for self care and develop a deeper connection with your true self and others so you can be a whole hearted doctor. This retreat offers this along with the opportunity for CPD/CME points and as it qualifies as professional self development is tax deductible*

What is the cost of retreats?
The cost of the retreat is listed under each retreat option. The costs vary depending on the location or the retreat and the option of accommodation eg single/shared rooms.
This is inclusive of:
* All chef prepared whole foods (meals, snacks, drinks) during your stay. 
* Luxury shared accommodation for four days and three nights in either a rainforest surrounds at either Aquila Retreat in the hinterland of Noosa or beachside at Torquay on the surf coast in Victoria 
* A dedicated education program including interactive sessions on mindfulness, self awareness, self compassion and self care with lots of time for heartfelt and open discussions.
* Education on tools and leadership in Medicine
* Complete workbook of all sessions to help you take your new found knowledge and self awareness home with you.
* Daily guided yoga, meditation and/or breath work classes.
* Pampering massage treatment.
* An optional crafting session
* A luxury gift bag including products supporting women-led small businesses.

What do I need to bring?
Nothing! Just yourself, comfortable clothes and bathers if you want to swim

Food Allergies and requests
Please email us with any details about your food requirements. As we have a chef preparing all your meals, we will be able to accommodate those without any issues.

Is the accommodation accessible
Yes! Whole Hearted Medicine prides itself on inclusivity. The accomodation at Aquila is totally accessible.The dining room, lounge, meeting rooms and the accessible accommodation are all on one level. There is an accessible bathroom.

What is your COVID safe plan?
Each venue has its own dedicated COVID safe plan. The plan for Aquila Retreat can be found via https://aquilaretreat.com.au/covid-safe/
In addition, for the duration of the retreat, we have in attendance a COVID safety officer who is responsible for the cleaning of high touch surfaces and shared areas. 

What happens if I am unable to attend the retreat due to border closures?
If you are unable to attend a retreat due to border closures secondary to COVID we will be pleased to move your attendance to the next suitable retreat of equivalent value.
If the retreat is unable to be held due to COVID related restrictions or border closures, the retreat date will be postponed and all bookings will automatically transfer to the new date. If you are unable to attend the new date, please get in touch for alternative dates and options. 

What is your refund policy?
We realise these are uncertain times and that COVID and other illnesses come up quickly and unexpectedly. With this in mind,  should you be unwell at the time of your retreat you are able to change the date of your retreat to a retreat of equivalent value with no penalty.

Standard Cancellation Policy 
 90 days before due date full refund (minus $50 admin fee)
 45-89 days before 75% refund (minus $50 admin fee)
 44-28 days 50% refund (minus $50 admin fee)
 0-27 days no refund- you can change the date of your retreat as detailed above 



Is there a cancellation list?

If you've missed out on being able to attend you desired retreat please get in contact to be placed on our cancellation list for that retreat.

How can I claim CPD?
We want to make claiming CPD/CME easy for you.
CPD accreditation has been allocated by RACGP for 40 Accredited points (Cat 1 points). 
For other speciality colleges please see our education page.
For other colleges where self-reporting occurs, we will assist with you lodging your CPD.  We provide you with a certificate of attendance listing all required details to make claiming your points easy!

Is this tax deductible?*
As we are not accountants, this is a discussion for you and your accountant. However, the retreat provides CPD/CPD points and is considered professional development. 

Is there any accommodation nearby where my family can stay?
Aquila retreat is located in Buderim, QLD in the Sunshine Coast hinterland. There are many surrounding Air BnB style accommodations suitable for family who may be travelling with you.

**Please note, that due to the nature of the retreat and our goal of creating a warm and relaxing environment with deep connections away from the stresses of our modern medical lives, we encourage you to remain on site for the duration of the retreat. 

Will you be running any retreats for other healthcare professions?
Due to the high level of interest in these retreats, Whole Hearted Medicine is currently investigating running similar CPD accredited style self care and wellness retreats for other health professionals eg. nursing, veterinarians.
