Ending doctor burn out

Doctor, yoga and meditation teacher, and the force behind Whole Hearted Medicine.

There is a lot of talk at the moment about #endingphysicianburnout or #endingdoctorburnout. This is such an important discussion for us to be having. The last two years have put immense pressure on the health system. But there is now increasing awareness that even without a global pandemic, medicine is such a demanding field to work in! We know that the way to address this issue is about so much more than simply offering wellbeing & self care retreats for doctors. Huge systemic changes must also occur to better support doctors and healthcare professionals as they struggle to balance the ever-increasing workload of caring for sick people. But why canโ€™t we do both at the same time?

โ€‹At Whole Hearted Medicine, we are firm believers in the positive effect of creating small ripples of change. On our retreats, we talk a lot about the fact that โ€œmindful & self aware leaders create mindful organisational changeโ€. So rather than getting overwhelmed by the size of the challenge, we see our role as very much in supporting and caring for those mindful & self aware leaders who are championing change. And as we discuss on our retreats, ๐—ฎ๐—น๐—น ๐—ฑ๐—ผ๐—ฐ๐˜๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐˜€ ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ ๐—น๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜€ simply based on their roles.

We all have a role to play in creating change, and we absolutely love our place supporting you.
